We will travel in our private minivan from Cusco. It would take 45 minutes to reach Chinchero (3762 meters or 12,340 feet). In Chinchero, we will be visiting the historic center and colonial church. The church here was built over the foundations of what was once the Royal Palace of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. We will also be visiting the Inca ruins on the outskirts of the village. Then we will be visiting the local Awana Wasi (Weaving House). Here the weavers of Chincheros will demonstrate their ancient weaving techniques.

Chinchero Maras Moray

We will then visit Moray. Archaeological site in Moray is composed of a series of concentric agricultural terraces. Experts believe were used by Incas as an experimental agricultural station for the development of new crops. Here we will be giving you a guided tour for an hour. We will then travel back to Maras. Finally, we will visit the Maras salt pans. Locals here have been extracting salts since Pre-Incan times. From here, we will return to Cusco.
